We know that lockdown has made life particularly difficult for those suffering with Alzheimer’s (read more about it here), so the team at Grace Homes pledged to complete 3 MILLION STEPS during the last lockdown. In the end, we managed to walk more than 3.3 million steps, and raised £695 for this incredible charity.
Not only did we move more during a time when we may well have moved less, team members enjoyed lots of other benefits including exploring new areas near to their homes, having socially distanced catch-ups whilst walking, and participating in a bit of healthy competition with colleagues. Even the family pets got to take part!
Alzheimer’s Society is an incredible UK charity that campaigns for change, funds research to find a cure and supports people living with dementia. We've already reached our target, but with the complications brought about by Coronavirus we intend to continue fundraising throughout 2020-2021.
