Alice and Jonny moved into their new home at The Orchard in Swinford just before the country went into lockdown. We chatted about how it felt to move home during such exceptional circumstances. Alice told us:
“We came across Grace Homes when Googling ‘small developers’. We both work in Milton Keynes and wanted somewhere with a village feel that we could easily commute from. Swinford, and its proximity to Rugby made it the perfect location.
“As news about the COVID-19 virus started to build it became apparent that we would need to move into our home sooner rather than later. Everyone at Grace Homes was very accommodating. They always got back to us and helped us to complete our purchase much earlier than first planned.
“The team went out of their way to make sure everything was sorted for us in a really short space of time. We couldn’t have asked for more.”
We asked how life has been since moving in:
“Both of us work from home, and so the home office was a must but is now proving invaluable. We also really love how the kitchen runs through into the dining room, and how our home flows into the garden with the bi-folds and the French doors.
“The quality of our home is completely different to other new builds we looked at. What Grace Homes offers as standard would be high end on other developments – the specification is at another level. Our kitchen has a Silestone worktop, the appliances are by Siemens, and the porcelain floor tiles came as standard.
“It is an unusual time to have moved as we haven’t been able to welcome anybody into our new home yet. We’ve taken to sending video tours and photos instead. Despite these circumstances we already feel very much at home.”
We wish Alice and Jonny many happy years in Swinford, and hope they don’t have to wait too long before they can welcome friends and family into their new home.
There is only one home left for sale at The Orchard. Discover more about Calla Cottage (plot 7).
