GRACE HOMES LTD SHORTLISTED FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY AWARDS 2024

We've been shortlisted!

We’re excited to announce that we have been shortlisted for another award! We will be attending the Regional Finals (East Midlands area) for the Energy Efficiency Awards 2024!

Chestnut Edge, Stoke Albany has been shortlisted for ‘Regional New Build Project of the Year;’ an award which aims to recognise “an outstanding new build property that maximises use of the energy efficiency measures installed.”

This year marks 10 years of the Energy Efficiency Awards, and we look forward to celebrating with all nominees, whatever the outcome. Now, more than ever, it’s hugely important to keep innovating and championing the use of energy saving and carbon reducing measures. It is something that we are passionate about at Grace Homes.

“We are delighted to be celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2024 as we continue to recognise the great innovators and achievements in our industry. It is vital to save energy and in doing so help the environment and drive down our energy bills and it is our award winners and nominees who are at the sharp end setting out to achieve this. They have often been the unsung heroes of our industry and our regional and national awards events give them the voice and recognition they deserve.” - Energy Efficiency Awards

Grace Homes Values

At Grace Homes we are committed to creating quality new homes that not only provide comfort and style, but also contribute towards a greener future. Our developments offer a range of impressive features that prioritise energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, ensuring a modern and sustainable living experience.

Grace Homes Sales Manager, Emily Smith, says “By choosing one of our developments you join a community committed to reducing carbon emissions, minimising energy consumption and embracing a greener way of life.”

Grace Homes also regularly reviews our environmental and social goals focusing on the integration of the environmental and social ambitions of Grace Homes into the business.

Why Was Chestnut Edge Shortlisted?

You don't have to sacrifice tradition for innovation at Chestnut Edge. This development of beautiful, traditionally designed homes incorporates some of the latest eco-friendly technology, reducing energy needs without compromising on character.

All our new homes at Chestnut Edge are EPC A-rated, include photovoltaic solar panels on the roof, along with an inverter ready for a home battery to store excess generated energy. Our sizeable plots also host air source heat pumps, underfloor heating, high levels of insulation and a smart EV charger that optimises the energy from your solar panels.

Chestnut Edge is also designed to deliver amazing open spaces, enhance biodiversity, create wildlife areas and provide sustainable drainage.

“To be shortlisted, each nominee must have shown the value and benefits of the energy efficiency measures have made to the energy efficiency of the properties. Judges will consider the nature, scale and scope of the work carried out, and will also look at: - the impact the project has had within the local community; - what the customers and local community have to say about the project; and - what level of expertise the project management and delivery team has in delivering this type of project.” - Energy Efficiency Awards

What happens next?

Representatives from Grace Homes will be attending the awards on Thursday 21st March 2024, where we will discover which companies have won each award. If we win, then we will then be entered into the national awards, along with the winners from other regions. The national awards will take place in November 2024.

We have our fingers crossed and will be sure to let you all know how we get on!
Good luck to all of our fellow nominees!
