Calling All Microvolunteers!

Be Inspired. Be Involved!

Microvolunteering Day falls on April the 15th every year and is a unique opportunity for voluntary organisations and individuals to join together in a synchronised effort to demonstrate the empowering potential of the microvolunteering concept.

If you have never heard of 'microvolunteering' before, the simplest definition is: 'a bite-sized, on-demand, no commitment action that benefits a worthy cause'. Your action could be as simple as sharing a social media post to raise awareness of a charity, or offering to take the bins out for an elderly neighbour. Search online for #Microday to find lots of examples of how taking just 10 minutes out of your day can make a massive difference to people within your community.

In the meantime, if you are involved in a charity, school, or sports team you may also be interested in the Grace Homes Community Fund. We are currently looking for nominations from those involved in groups that serve the community of Burton Latimer. The chosen group will receive a £500 donation to spend on a current project.
