Once again, we have beaten other housebuilders in the region and been crowned ‘Winners’ at the coveted LABC Building Excellence Awards.
The Orchard, our development in the Leicestershire village of Swinford triumphed over finalists across the East Midlands to be awarded the title of ‘Best Medium New Housing Development’. This follows similar success in 2020 when our Langdale development in Thorpe Langton was awarded ‘Best Small New Housing Development’ in the East Midlands.
The nine new homes at The Orchard were designed to complement existing buildings in the local area. They also exceeded building regulations by including energy-saving features such air-source heat pumps as standard.
Henry Barney, Managing Director of Grace Homes, said: “Despite the obvious challenges faced over the last year, our team has stepped up to the mark once again. To receive the title of 'Best New Housing Development in the East Midlands' for the second year running is a great reward for everyone’s hard work.”
Charming developments such as The Orchard are what we've built our name on over the years. All properties in this rural haven are now occupied, but more new homes will be available soon at similarly idyllic settings in Hallaton, Nether Broughton, Melton Mowbray, and Barton Seagrave.
The LABC National Building Excellence Awards ceremony, often referred to as the Oscars for the housebuilding sector, will take place in London in January where we will be up against finalists from eleven other regions.
