The Government announced today that all home movers in England will pay NO STAMP DUTY on the first £500,000 of ANY house purchase. This could save you up to £15,000, meaning your next move could be closer than you think.
Previously home buyers paid Stamp Duty on any home over the value of £125,000, unless they were a first-time buyer, where the value increased to £300,000. The new threshold, which is available immediately, means you can start benefiting from this change straight away.
This change will run until 31 March 2021, and you are eligible if the home you purchase is due to complete within this time frame.
