Help to Buy to Remain in the Short Term

Unlike last year's budget where stamp duty was abolished for first-time buyers, this week's budget brought no great surprises or bonuses for home buyers. Sometimes no news is good news, however...

Despite the Help to Buy Equity Loan not being mentioned specifically in the chancellor's speech, the budget report revealed that this popular incentive will now end in March 2023 - an extension of two years, albeit for first-time buyers only. In the meantime, eligibility remains the same, and the Help to Buy scheme will continue to help many new home buyers to purchase their dream home.

We are pleased to offer our customers Help to Buy at both White Lodge Farm in Burton Latimer and Welland Fields in Lubenham. You can find out more about this scheme here. Don't forget that first-time buyers also benefit from paying no stamp duty for homes up to a value of £300,000, and a reduced level of stamp duty for houses priced £300,000 and £500,000.
