We are thrilled to be shortlisted as regional finalists for three awards at the 2016 LABC Building Excellence Awards. The Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Building Excellence Awards celebrate all that’s good in the construction industry. They specifically seek out and celebrate the vital elements needed for the creation of excellent buildings: outstanding craftsmanship, technical innovation, sustainability and high performance.
The awards we have been short listed for are:
Best change of use of an existing building or conversion
Duchy Farm, Chelveston-Cum-Caldecott, Northamptonshire
Best high volume new housing development
White Lodge Farm, Phase 2, Burton Latimer
Best site agent - Residential
Andy Redgwell
Stuart Becker, who now lives in the farmhouse at Duchy Farm commented:
“We are really impressed with the overall design aesthetics of our new home – from the thoughtful use of space, the use of traditional materials and methods, to the quality of fixtures and fittings – it is an incredibly sensitive conversion of a 382 year old farmhouse, retaining the original character but with all the convenience of the latest facilities.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Friday 22 April at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Milton Keynes. Fingers crossed we come home with an award (or three!) on the night.
